Rawlings

Site

Quaint, new sub-division home. Flat lot backing onto neighbours outdoor spaces.

Intention

To create an outdoor sanctuary for a traveling couple to come home to between adventures.

Solution

We removed the small amounts of lawn that the builder put in and replaced it with low groundcovers like Orange, Nutmeg and Lemon scented Thyme, Mondo Grass, Thrift, Sedum Donkey-tail Spurge etc. Installed a full irrigation system including driplines to pots. Planted a Hebe hedge at the front door area. There was an existing theme of black wrought iron garden ornaments and furniture. We continued this theme with five black glazed ceramic pots and a black aluminum railing. Three of these pots hold Waxleaf Privet

"I just wanted to say a big thank-you to Jenn for the beautiful array of spring bulbs that were planted in our garden last fall. The display has been so wonderful and even though the tulips are still blooming due to the cool weather we have thoroughly enjoyed all the colour - a great job well done. Regards to all of you."
