Oberoi

Site

New Home on a 1 acre property in 'Oyama Estates' Subdivision in Mission, BC

Intention

Create an Asian Inspired Garden to compliment the new home set in a West Coast Setting

Solution

The front driveway approach is curved with allowance for vehicular traffic to park into one of the three garages, drive through the breeze-way or around to the rear of the house to the secondary garage. A curved pedestrian walkway curves to the front door. The plant beds are also curved in shape. The plant choices follow the 'Feng-Shui' colours for each side of the house. Natural Boulders and River Rock were used as accents in the beds. Japanese Plants are designed in such as: Golden Fullmoon Japanese Maple, Wolf Eyes Japanese Dogwood, Japanese Bloodgrass, Fireglow Japanese Maple, Variegated Japanese Sedge, Snowcone Japanese Snowbell, and Green Panda Clumping Bamboo. A pool and Hot Tub are designed in for the 'water element'. A firepit is designed in for the 'fire' element. Natural Boulders are used for the terraced boulder walls in the rear of the property to compliment the 'West Coast' theme. FocalPoint completed the rear walls in Fall of 2012. The Septic has been installed. The driveway is formed. The property will be ready for the softscaping come late Spring 2013
